AIDAN BAKER

Album: "Element" (2000)
Label: n/a
Style: Ambient / experimental
Songs: 5

The five ambient/experimental instrumentals included on this disc were all created by an electric guitar. Upon hearing this music you would expect it to have been created with multiple instruments. To get the different sounds included here, Aidan Baker played guitar with a violin bow, scissors and drumsticks. This is both interesting and impressive. The end result is dark, cold and dreary ambient soundscapes that creep along at a haunting pace. While simply listening to this music on its own does tend to be rather dull and boring, it is well done and would fit in a play or film extremely well.
