Electro Synthetic Rebellion (E.S.R.) is the solo electro-industrial/EBM project of Vincent Pujol. What he delivers on this Corroded Fragments album is a consistent mix of dark and distorted industrial and EBM songs.

This music actually reminds me of the type of electro-industrial/EBM that came out in the 90s. It definitely has an old school vibe to it, but with enough modern elements to keep everything sounding current.

With so many industrial bands from the 90s becoming more synth-pop and future pop, it's nice to still be able to get albums such as this one that does things the old way.

The songs offered here are energetic and aggressive with a multitude of electronic sounds, effects and sampling layered with heavy beats over dark melodies while distorted snarling male vocals growl along.

There's a lot of futuristic sci-fi sounds in the mix that blend nicely with the more noisy ingredients. The orchestrated background melodies also stand out by being extremely well composed.

While this album doesn't really offer anything new or different, it does deliver a solid batch of great electro-industrial/EBM tunes.
