The band that won't go away... KMFDM, have spawned
yet another band that sounds just like KMFDM: Slick Idiot.
Have a
listen to the free MP3 on MP3.com.
Here's
what the PR folks have to say about this:
KMFDM
core members En Esch and Guenter Schulz are teaming
up in a new, exciting project: SLICK IDIOT. The excellent guitar
work of Guenter Schulz and the dark and unique voice and expressive
stage performance of En Esch, gave the music and shows of KMFDM
its distinctive and beloved edge. After the breakup of KMFDM
in 1999, En Esch and Guenter Schulz decided to continue their
work together and bring the idea behind KMFDM to another level.
They've just released the full length CD "DICKNITY", with tracks
that remind one of the golden days of KMFDM with a twist of
modern glam-techno, trance and hip hop, plus a sarcastic, humorous
touch. SLICK IDIOT doesn't sound like anyone else out there....
Please feel free to support SLICK IDIOT by reviewing the single
"It Won't Do." Or download a few songs from SLICKIDIOT.com,
and also grab a copy of the debut solo release "DickNity" from
itchy records.

25, 2001 - Happy Birthday To Us... |
|
YES, Wrapped IN Wire is now 4
years old. Happy Birth-month to us. Seems like yesterday
we were just a cheesy website full of music
reviews. Now, we're still a cheesy site full of reviews,
but we have twice the number of reviews, and some lame ass attempts
at art and entertainment.
Message
Board Now Fully Restored
All messages that had been lost not so long ago, have
been restored manually. They can be found in the Electric
Hell board. Messages that didn't originate there will
be moved at a later date (but it's still safe to reply to them).
Everything's backed up this time...
Rance of Electronic
Deconstruction has a few words he'd like to say:
Electronic
Deconstruction goes low-tech!
If you are using a modem and have been trying to listen to Electronic
Deconstruction, you probably haven't had much success with the
56kbps stream playing for you. Well, the times, they are a changing.
After a long arduous testing phase of one day, ED is proud to
announce a low-tech 24kbps stream! This should be good for modem
users from 33.6 to 56k, you can try if you are on a 28.8, but
you probably won't want to do much else.
Also, if Independent Music gets you going, testing is running
on the Independent Artist Hour. It's not published yet, but
at 10 (am and pm) CST you should get an hour of Indie music.
This is no guarantee, as issues with the clock that drives the
music are being worked out. But, if you're feeling lucky, punk...
head on over to http://industrial.mu and give it a shot.
And lastly, ED is having it's first Drawing/Contest/Giveaway
thingy. We're giving away five (5) copies of OMNIbOX's new album,
Alpha. The drawing ends August 31, so hurry over and sign up!
